Several parents were upset after seeing the swollen hands of their children. The Thane police on Friday arrested Shilpa Gautam, trustee of Gautam English medium school, Thane for allegedly beating 18 students of Class 9 on Thursday with a plastic rod. Mandar Dharmadhikari, senior police inspector of Thane Nagar police said, "We have arrested the accused under section 324 of the IPC.
